Hope Springs Eternal

Hope Springs Eternal was a unique international collaboration between UK arts mavericks The Brick Box, the Baltic Circle Festival and the people of Kannelmaki, Helsinki, Finland.

Having been working with our Finnish partners for over a year, the project culminated in a unique four day residency in June 2018, re-imagining Sitratori Square as a magical place for transformation and celebration through the medium of water and the creation of a mass public bathing ritual.

Everyone was invited to immerse themselves in this gentle, uplifting, playful and empowering experience. Audiences, artists and local residents came together to create this interactive live artwork; part performance, part ritual, part dreamscape. Think hot tubs, bubbles, water divination, music and above all joy!
